Love this recipe-easy to make-tastes great. I found the orange cake mix at super walmart.
If there are cake flavors that your local supermarkets do not have, try asking them to special order for you. My local King Soopers in Colorado ordered all of the Supreme cake mixes that I could not find and you do not have to order a case. I ordered 3 boxes of each one and they pay for the shipping. Works great.

I haven't tryed the cake yet because I to cannot find the mix anywhere. I cant find the Strawberry Supreme, banana supreme, coconut supreme either. Pretty frustrating as there are lots of cakes I would like to make. I will try the other suggestions that have been made.
You can also try Walmart.....I was very surprised to find those flavors that you are requesting..
You can also get theplain white cake and add food coloring for the orange color and orange extract. Try adding cruched pineapple to the mix. It is great orange pineapple".
I made this cake last night. My husband took 2 HUGH pieces to work, and I will take the rest to the ladies church meeting tomorrow. I was able to taste a small piece and it was very moist. My husband called at noon, and said his co-workers ate his 2 pieces, and raved about it. He told me to save him a piece!
I too sent this with my husband to work and got rave reveiws there and at a bible study group I had made this for. My kids were begging for a peice of "that orange sink cake" I had! Ha Ha. I didn't like hte way the top of th cake looked so I spread vanilla frosting over the top. Just a thin layer!
I used the new vanilla glaze by duncan hines instead of making icing. Before I put it on, poked holes with fork in warm cake once taken out of oven & poured 1/2 cup on orange juice over cake. It sure was moist & delicious.
I substituted the water for grande marnia or ameretto, which ever you like, was delicouis, made it the perfect desert before bed
Does anyone know where to buy Orange Supreme mix on the west coast, specifically Arizona? I have never seen this flavor in the stores. I would love to try it instead of using orange extract or orange peel with a mix.
Same here in Colorado, i haven't seen orange cake mix in 10 years, it was one of my favorites growing up, but can't find it in any stores. It's quite sad how every store has the same limited selection so we can't try all of the wonderful flavors that they make. I don't even live in a small town, i could understand that, but really i live in the second largest city in the state, lots of grocery stores, and none of the products.
The only place i've been able to find this mix in online on sites like Amazon, but usually you have to get a case and pay shipping and is more than in stores. I wish we could get more flavors here!
You might try a site called Hometown Favorites. I have ordered cake mixes from them, Good Luck
I use netgrocer.com to order the orange supreme cake as it is not sold where I live either.
we have it here in GA....if i could i would send it to ya'll....
I get mine from Wal-Mart. Try checking there.
I have found it on, beleive it or not, the Amazon.com site. You have to buy 6 boxes at a time, but I just shared it with some friends who were also looking for it. If you type the cake mix name into your browser, several sites come up, including My Brands, where you must buy at least 3 packages, but they were out at last look. I live in Las Vegas and they are no where to be found here either.
I make a lemon cake just like this. My recipe uses a small box of lemon jello mix in the cake. When I don't have a lemon cake mix on hand I use the yellow cake mix or butter or white and I use the lemon jello. It works. I am going to try that with this because I don't have orange cake mix in my stores. I am going to use a small orange jello mix. Oh and when I use a jello or pudding mix I increase the eggs to 4 eggs and I use equal parts oil and water - 3/4 cup of each. Sometimes I use other liquids - milk or soda or juice. In fact using orange juice would probably increase the flavor too.
will send you some if you like. just let me know. this is a great summertime cake.
If you have an Albertson's close by, go there. That is one of the few stores that I can find it at. You can always go to the website, find the 800 # and call customer service. That is what I did and they told me where to purchase it. I have been looking for this flavor for a LONG time.
Try super walmart
Do you have an Albertson's near you? That is where I am able to find it. Unfortunately, they don't carry it at the Walmart where I live. I could get it cheaper at Walmart. I'm just thankful that I can buy it locally.
This is also good using the lemon cake mix. Try freezing any leftovers--very cool & yummy on a hot summer evening.
a little too moist good flavor but if room temp top 1/4 inch way too soggy
This recipe was simple to make and I already had the ingredients, so I thought I'd give it a try. Very moist and delicious, got rave reviews from the family!
