Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup white syrup
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 8 ounces raw Spanish peanuts
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

Preparation

Step 1

Boil sugar, syrup and water until it spins a long thread. Add peanut and butter and cook slowly to 300 degrees, stirring occasionally.

Add vanilla and baking soda (it will foam up). Turn onto a buttered baking sheet (use two cookie sheets) and spread out thin. When cold break into pieces.
