Ingredients
- 1 c. butter
- 2 c. brown sugar, packed
- 2 tsp. baking soda
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 2 lge eggs
- 3 c. flour
- 1 tsp. cinnamon (I prefer 1 TB.)
- 4 &41/2 c. old-fashioned or quick-cooking oats
- 1 &1/2 c. chocolate chips or dried cranberries

Step 1
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Melt the butter. Add brown sugar, baking soda, vanilla & eggs, beat until very creamy (2-3 min.) Add flour & cinnamon gradually, mix well. Add oatmeal & beat until combined & very thick. Fold in choc. chips. Make large cookies with about 2 TB. dough & place on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake 15-20 min. until they are as brown as you like them. Cool on pans 1 min., then remove to wire racks to cool. Store in sealed containers.
