  • 1 lb boneless tender beef, 1 inch thick
  • 1/4 cup Kikkoman Lite Teriyaki Marinade & Sauce
  • 1 clove garlic, pressed
  • 1/2 pound medium size raw shrimp
  • 1 tsp sesame seed, toasted (optional)

Step 1

Trim beef and cut into 1 inch cubes; combine with lite teriyaki sauce and garlic in medium bowl. Marinate 30 minutes. Meanwhile, leaving tails on, shell and devein shrimp. Add shrimp to beef and teriyaki sauce mixture; cover and refrigerate 30 minutes. Reserving marinade, remove beef and shrimp. Thread each of 8 (10 inch) metal or bamboo skewers alternately with beef and shrimp. Place on grill 5 inches from hot coals. Cook about 4 minutes; brush with reserved marinade. Cook 4 minutes longer, or until shrimp turn pink. (Or place skewers on rack of broiler pan. Broil 3 minutes; turn over. Brush with reserved marinade. Broil 3 minutes longer, or until shrimp turn pink). Sprinkle sesame seed evenly over beef and shrimp before serving, if desired.

NOTE: Soak bamboo skewers in water 30 minutes to prevent burning.
