Ingredients

  • 3 lb chicken, cut in large pieces
  • 1/2 . c. soy sauce
  • 2 c. sherry
  • 2 Tbs sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/8 tsp MSG
  • 1/8 tsp pepper
  • 2 cloves garlic,crushed
  • 1 thin slice ginger, finely chopped
  • 2 Tbs oil for frying

Step 1

Heat skillet on moderate heat (300 degrees). Add oil & heat thoroughly. Brown chicken on all sides, drain off excess oil. Add sauce, bring to boil.Boil for 25 min. in covered pan. Reduce heat & simmer for 15 min.
