Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 375. Large mixing bowl pour 1/2 of the almond flour. Add a 1/2c of the arrowroot flour, salt and baking powder. Stir the ingredients to combine.
Add 2/3 c warm water and lightly stir to combine. Use a folding motion to blend the batter. Add the apple cider vinegar and maple syrup and continue to stir. Add remaining 1 1/2c almond flour to the dough, stir to combine and dust w/additional arrowroot flour (up to the remaining 1/2 c), until the dough is firm enough to form a loaf.
Split the dough into two equal portions. Dust a parchment-paper lined baking sheet w/arrowroot flour. Form each half portion of the dough into a thin oval loaf on the baking sheet. Cut diagonal slits down the length of the bread loaf and bake the loaves for 20 min.
Remove the loaves from the oven and baste them with the egg wash. Then bake them for 10 more min. Remove the loaves from the oven and turn temp up to 400. Baste the loaves with the egg wash once more and bake for a final 5 min.
Allow the loaves to cool and tightly wrap them w/plastic wrap. Refrigerate the loaves until serving time.
