Ingredients
- 1 cup salted butter, softened
- 2 cups packed dark brown sugar
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 2 eggs
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 3 cups old fashioned oats

Step 1
1. Preheat oven to 350
2. Beat together the butter and brown sugar until fluffy.
3. Beat in vanilla
4. Add eggs, one at a time, scraping the bowl after each one.
5. In a medium bowl, mix together flour, salt and baking soda.
6. Add flour mixture to the sugar mixture in 2 or 3 batches, mixing it until it is just combined.
7. Mix in the oats until just combined.
8. Drop cookies onto lightly greased cookie sheet, spacing them a couple inches apart.
8. Bake for 12-13 minutes or until dark and chewy. For a crisper cookie, just cook a little longer.
9. Cool slightly on pan after removing from the oven.
