  • 2/3 cup shortening
  • 2 2/3 cup sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 can pumpkin filling (15 oz.)
  • 2/3 cup water
  • 3 1/2 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 2/3 cup walnuts, chopped
  • 2/3 cup raisins

MAKES TWO LOAVES!

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease TWO loaf pans.

2. Cream the shortening and sugar together. Beat until fluffy, then add the eggs, pumpkin filling and water.

3. Stir in the flour, baking soda, salt, baking powder, cinnamon and cloves. Blend evenly.

4. Mix together the raisins and walnuts, then add them to the mixture.

5. Divide the batter between two loaf pans, and bake for 65-75 minutes.
