Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. (12 oz) extra-wide egg noodles
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 pkg. (9.6 oz) fully cooked sausage, cut into 1" pieces
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 pkg. (16 oz) sauerkraut, drained
  • 1 apple, cored and chopped
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 tea. dried marjoram
  • 1/4 tea. pepper

Step 1

Cook noodles according to package directions. Drain, reserving 1/2 cup cooking water.

In a large nonstick skillet, melt butter over medium-high heat. Add sausage pieces and onion; cook, stirring occasionally, until sausage is browned and onion is tender (8-10 minutes).

Add sauerkraut, apple, butter, marjoram and pepper; cook, stirring, until sauerkraut is browned and apple is tender, 4-5 minutes.

Stir in noodles and reserved water. Cook until heated through, 1-2 minutes. Season with salt to taste.
