Dark Chocolate Toffee Brownie Bark 1 Picture

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup AP flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1 egg
  • 1 egg white
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 TBSP cocoa powder
  • 1 cup of chopped dark chocolate {or chocolate chips} I used a combination of 70% and 75% cocoa
  • 1/4 cup of butter
  • 1/2 cup of heath toffee bits

Preparation

Step 1

1. combine the flour, salt, baking soda, and cocoa powder {set aside}
2. in a small saucepan melt the butter and chocolate {let cool 3. slightly}
4. beat the egg, egg white, and sugar until frothy
5. add the vanilla, and the melted chocolate
6. slowly add in the flour
7. stir just until all of the ingredients are incorporated
8. line a jelly roll pan with parchment
9. spread the brownie batter to cover the entire bottom of the 10. pan {a very thin layer}
11. sprinkle on the toffee bits
12. bake at 325 for 20 minutes
13. remove from the oven and cut {I recommend using a pizza cutter}but do not separate the pieces
14. return to the oven and bake an additional 5 minutes
15. cool completely and break into pieces
