  • 1/2 pound butter
  • 5 eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 2/3 cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Butter and flour a 9 x 5" loaf pan.

Cream the butter and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time. Stir in flour, then vanilla. Mix well.

Turn into loaf pan, and bake about 1 hour, until knife inserted near center comes out clean.
