Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 1/2 cups brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. Vanilla
  • 1 tsp Soda
  • 1 tsp. Salt
  • 1 tsp. Cinnamon
  • 3 Cups Flour
  • 1 cup each, pecan halves, & whole filberts
  • 1 cup quartered Walnuts
  • 2 lbs. Dates (cut up)
  • 1 1/2 cups raisins
  • 1/2 tub cut up candied fruit
  • 1 cup Fruit juice or Rum or Brandy

Preparation

Step 1

Mix fruit and nuts in a large bowl, pour 1 cup of liquid, (fruit juice, rum or brandy) over the mixture and let set over night.

Cream butter, sugar, eggs & vanilla. Add dry ingredients and hand mix into fruit nut mixture.

Bake 20 minutes at 325 degrees.

Makes about 6 dozen cookies.
