Ingredients

  • 1 head cabbage
  • 4 strips bacon
  • 1/2 cup onion, chopped
  • 2-3 cloves garlic, minced
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 apple, cored and cut in quarters
  • 1-3 Tbs brown sugar
  • 1/4-1/3 cup apple cider vinegar

Step 1

Brown diced bacon and onion. Add cabbage and garlic to bacon pan. Cook until tender. Season with salt and pepper to taste. At the last few minutes add apple and cook 15 minutes. Add brown sugar and vinegar to taste. Add more or less as needed.
