• 1 cup cherry pie filling*
• 1 cup drained pineapple chunks
• 1 box yellow cake mix
• 2 sticks butter
• 1 cup shredded coconut
• 1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
• May use apple pie filling and large can of peaches instead.

Preparation

Step 1

Spread pie filling in 9 x 13 inch baking dish. Add pineapple chunks over pie filling. Spread dry cake mix evenly over the fruit. Slice the butter into pats to cover top of mix. Sprinkle coconut and nuts on top.

Bake 350 degrees for 1 hour. This cake can be made with any pie filling or cake mix.
