Ingredients
- 1 cup light brown sugar
- 1 stick unsalted butter, softened
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 8 bananas, yellow but firm
- 1/4 cup banana liqueur (optional)
- Vanilla Ice Cream

Step 1
1. Cream brown sugar, butter and cinnamon together in a small bowl.
2. Lay bananas on their sides and cut a slit along each one's length. Pull open slightly and spread in 1/8 of butter-sugar mixture.
3. Close peels and place on oiled medium grill and cook until peels are blackened, about 5 minutes.
4. Remove to a metal platter; carefully free bananas from peels (caution: very hot).
5. If desired, drizzle liqueur over bananas and ignite. Serve hot with scoops of ice cream.
