Ingredients

  • CARAMELIZED ONIONS:
  • 1 onion bun
  • 2 tablespoons Creamy Horseradish Sauce (see recipe)
  • 6 ounces pot roast sliced 1/4" thick (or 3 to 4 slices)
  • 1 large Cheddar cheese slice
  • 1/2 cup Caramelized Onions (see below)
  • 1 yellow onion - (8 oz) halved, and sliced 1/4" thk
  • 2 ounces butter

Preparation

Step 1

Place bun on skillet or on grill to toast. Spread Creamy Horseradish Sauce evenly on both halves of bun.

Place pot roast on cutting board and slice into 1/4-inch slices. Heat pot roast to 165 degrees if using "leftovers".

On bottom half of bun, place the following ingredients in this order: Creamy Horseradish Sauce, Pot Roast layered and shingled (served at 165 degrees if using "leftovers"), place Cheddar cheese slice onto pot roast and melt cheese in oven, and Caramelized Onions. Place the top bun half on the burger. Eat and enjoy!!!

For Caramelized Onions: Peel and cut a yellow onion in half. Slice each half onion into 1/4-inch slices.

Heat a skillet/sauté pan over high heat and add butter to hot pan. saute onions over high heat, stirring/tossing frequently to prevent the onions from burning. Sauté until onions are caramel color, approximately 15 minutes. (Makes enough for 4 burgers)
