Ingredients
- Meat:
- 2 1/2-3 pounds pork sirloin roast
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1 Tbs oil
- 1 large onion, cut into wedges
- 2 Tbs minced garlic
- 1-12 oz can root beer
- Sauce:
- 2-12 oz cans root beer
- 1-8 oz bottle chile sauce
- few drops hot sauce
- 8-10 hamburger buns
- Lettuce
- Tomatoes

Preparation
Step 1
Brown trimmed meat in skillet in oil 5-10 minutes on each side. Season with salt and pepper.
Place meat in crock pot along with onion, garlic and root beer and cook for 4-5 hours on high or 8-10 hours on low.
When done remove from crock pot and drain. Pull pork apart with 2 forks.
Sauce:
In medium sauce pan, combine 2 cans root beer and chili sauce. Bring to boil, reduce heat and continue to boil for 20-30 minutes stirring occasionally. Add a few drops of hot sauce if desired. Makes about 2 cups.
Stir sauce into pulled pork or serve on the side.
Serve on buns with lettuce and tomatoes.
