Ingredients

  • #1 ingredients:
  • 1 # flank steak
  • 1 tsp finely chopped garlic
  • 1 Tbs soy sauce superior
  • 1/2 Tbs sugar
  • 1 Tbs white wine
  • 1 Tbs cornstarch
  • 1/4 Tbs baking soda
  • #2 ingredients:
  • 3 Tbs soy sauce superior
  • 1 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • 4 Tbs water
  • 1 cup 2 inch sliced green onions
  • 1 cup sliced bamboo shoots

Preparation

Step 1

Remove fat from beef. Cut lengthwise and then cut against the grain into thin bite size pieces. Mix with all #1 ingredients and let sit 30 minutes.

Heat 1 cup oil for deep frying. Deep fry meat until color changes. Remove all but 2 Tbs oil in pan. Stir fry green onions and bamboo shoots for 3 minutes then add all #2 ingredients and beef. Mix and serve over rice.
