Ingredients

  • 1 package yeast
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 2 cups buttermilk
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 cup cooking oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon soda
  • 5 cups flour(maybe more)

Preparation

Step 1

Dissolve yeast in water. Mix together thoroughly with all of the ingredients except flour. Add 5 or more cups of flour and mix well.

Put the dough in a covered bowl in the refrigerator for 12 hours or more before using. When ready to bake, roll out the dough and pinch off biscuits.

Bake in a greased pan at 450F until golden.
