Ingredients
- 1 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup margarine
- Grated rind of one lemon, divided in half
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup nuts
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1/2 cup XXX (superfine confectioner's) sugar
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tbsp butter

Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Mix 1 1/2 cup flour, 1/2 cup margarine, 1/2 of the grate lemon rind. Pour dough into 10 x 16" pan. Bake 20 minutes.
While the crust is baking, mix the 2 eggs, 1 cup brown sugar, 1 cup nuts, 1/2 tsp baking powder, 1/4 cup flour, and reserved grated lemon rind. Pour over the hot crust and bake 20 minutes.
While the above is still warm, mix the 1/2 cup XXX sugar, 1 tbsp butter, 1 tbsp lemon juice. Pour over lemon bars in the pan.
