Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 3 med. onions, thinly sliced and separated into rings
  • 1 pkg (1 ounce) LAWRY's Au Jus Gravy Mix
  • 3 c water
  • 4 thin slices sourdough French bread
  • 4 slices Swiss or Gruyere cheese

Preparation

Step 1

In large skillet, melt butter; cook onions over medium-high heat until tender. In small bowl, combine Au Jus Gravy Mix and water; add to onions, Bring to boil over medium-high heat. Reduce heat to low and cook, covered, 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Broil bread until lightly toasted on both sides. Top toasted bread with cheese; broil until cheese melts.
