Ingredients
- 1/2 lb butter
- 1 2/3 c sugar
- 5 eggs
- 2 c cake flour
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp brandy
- 1 tsp vanilla extract

Step 1
Preheat oven to 300 degrees.
Cream butter and sugar together and beat in eggs, one at a time. Beat well. Add flour and salt. Stir in brandy and vanilla, mix thoroughly, and pour into a greased and floured 9x5x2 3/4-inch pan.
Bake 1 1/2 hours.
