Ingredients

  • Box(or less) of Red Velvet Cake and ingredients needed to make it(or your own recipe)
  • Box of Brownie Mix and ingredients needed to make it(or your own recipe)
  • 1 8oz block of cream cheese, softened
  • 1 pound powdered sugar
  • 1 stick butter, softened
  • 1/2 tablespoon milk(optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Step 1

Preheat Oven to 350 and grease a 13x9 pan(I actually used a larger lasagna pan). If you use the 13x9, you may not want to use the whole box of Red Velvet Cake mix.

Make Brownies according to directions on box and pour into pan. Make Red Velvet Cake according to directions and pour into the same pan on top of brownie mix. Pop in oven and check after about 28 minutes with a tooth pick-if it comes out clean then it is done. Mine took about 30 minutes. Let cool in pan.

To make icing, cream together butter and cream cheese with mixer. Mix in Vanilla and gradually pour in powdered sugar. If the icing is a little thicker than you'd like, add the milk. Spread over the top after brownies have cooled. If you like a LOT of icing, you may event want to double the recipe. You can see how much icing this recipe made on my brownie pictures.
