Ingredients

  • Crust:
  • 1 box butter-recipe yellow cake mix
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, melted
  • Filling:
  • 1 8oz. pkg. cream cheese, softened
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 16 oz. powdered sugar (2 cups)
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, melted
  • 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips (I prefer milk chocolate chips)

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Light grease 9x13 pan.

In bowl, combine cake mix, egg and melted butter with an electric mixer. Mix well. Pat into bottom of prepared pan and set aside.

Beat cream cheese until smooth; add eggs and vanilla. Dump powdered sugar and beat very well. Reduce speed of mixer and slowly pour in melted butter. Mix well.

Stir in chips.

Pour filling on top of cake mixture and spread evenly.

Bake 40-50 minutes You want center to be a little gooey, so don't bake it past this point. If you want to drizzle melted chocolate over top allow it to cool 15 minutes and then drizzle over. Allow to cool for at least one hour and then cut and ENJOY!
