  • 8 bacon slices, sliced into 1-inch pieces
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 green pepper, diced
  • 2 large cans B&M Original Baked Beans
  • 3/4 cup barbecue sauce (Try one of Corky’s BBQ sampler sauces!)
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 2-1/2 tsp. yellow prepared mustard

Directions:

Preheat oven to 325°F. Partially cook the bacon in an oven-safe skillet or sauté pan until 1/8 – 1/4 cup of bacon drippings remain. Set the drippings aside. Remove the bacon from pan and drain any remaining bacon grease. Add the peppers and onions to the skillet and gently sauté, approximately 5 minutes. Add the bacon drippings and the beans; stir to combine. Add the barbecue sauce, brown sugar, vinegar, and mustard; stir to combine. Top with bacon. Cook slowly for two hours until warm and bubbly.
