Ingredients

  • cauliflower, riced, 1-2 heads (which means that you steam it and then shred it into “rice.” You can use the grater disc on a food processor.)
  • shredded cheese

  • Italian seasoning
  • Pizza sauce
  • Toppings
  • Ricotta cheese
  • The original recipe is a ratio of 1:1:1, for the cauliflower, eggs, and shredded cheese. I modified the recipe by adding Ricotta cheese and decreasing the amount of eggs and shredded cheese in the crust.

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 450 degrees F.

In a medium bowl, combine cauliflower, eggs, and mozzarella. Press evenly into a greased 8- or 9-inch round cake pan. Sprinkle with oregano and parsley or Italian seasoning.

Bake in greased pan for 15 minutes or until browned and crispy on the edges. Flip it over onto a greased cookie sheet and continue baking until crisp. About 5 to 10 minutes.

After the crust is done remove it from the oven, add sauce and toppings, and place under broiler until the toppings are done.
