Ingredients

  • 1 # boneless chicken breast, cut into bite size pieces
  • 1/2 medium onion, diced
  • 1 1/2 tbsp. garlic powder
  • 2 tbsp. vegetable oil
  • 2 (15.5oz.) cans northern beans
  • 1 (14-15 oz.) can chicken broth
  • 1 4 oz. chopped green chilies
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp white or black pepper
  • 1 c. sour cream (8 oz.)
  • 1/2 c. whipping cream

Step 1

In a large saucepan, saute chicken, onion, garlic powder in vegetable oil, until chicken is no longer pink. Add beans (drained) along with chicken broth, chilies, and seasonings. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, simmer uncovered for 30 minutes. Stir in sour cream and whipping cream. Heat until sour cream is dissolved. Serve immediately. Serves 7.
