Ingredients

    egg

    egg white

  • 1

    pkg. cream cheese

  • 1/3

    cup sugar

  • 1/2

    t. vanilla

  • 1

    oz. mini chocolate chips

  • Batter:

  • 1 1/2

    cups flour

  • 1/4

    cup cocoa

  • 1/2

    t. salt

  • 1

    t. baking soda

  • 1

    t. baking powder

  • 1

    cup sugar

  • 1

    cup water

  • 1/2

    cup plain yogurt

  • 1

    t. vanilla

  • 2

    T pecans, chopped fine

Directions

Heat oven to 350. Line two muffin tins with cupcake liners (about 20). Lightly coat with vegetable oil spray. Filling: Beat egg and egg white until foamy. Add cream cheese, sugar and vanilla and blend until smooth. Stir in chocolate chips. Batter: Beat sugar, water, yogurt and vanilla until smooth. Add flour, cocoa, soda, powder and salt. Mix at low speed until barely moistened. Fill each cupcake liner halfway with batter. Top each with 1 T of filling and 1/4 t. pecans. Bake 28 minutes or until top springs back when gently pressed. Remove from oven and cool.
