Ingredients

    c. chocolate wafer crumbs

  • 1/3

    c. butter, melted

  • 1/2

    butter, softened

  • 1/2

    c. brown sugar, firmly packed

  • 3

    lg. eggs

  • 1

    (12 oz.) pkg. semisweet chocolate chips

  • 1

    t. vanilla

  • 1/2

    c. flour

  • 3/4

    c. chopped, unsalted peanuts

  • 2

    (1oz.) squares semisweet chocolate, melted and cooled

  • Peanut Butter Sauce

  • Frozen whipped topping, thawed

  • Toasted, chopped peanuts

Directions

Combine chocolate wafer crumbs and 1/3 c. melted butter; press mixture firmly on bottom and up sides of a 9" pieplate. Bake at 350 for 6 - 8 minutes. Beat 1/2 c. butter at medium speed of an electric mixer until creamy. Gradually add sugar, beating mixture until blended. Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition. Stir in melted chocolate chips and vanilla. Add flour, beating at low speed just until blended. Stir in 3/4 c. peanuts. Pour chocolate mixture into prepared crust. Bake at 350 for 28 minutes, let cool on a wire rack. To serve, slice pic, and place 1 slice on prepared plate. Top with Peanut Butter Sauce, whipped topping, and additional chopped peanuts.
