Chicken & Pork on Lemongrass and Sugar Cane Sticks

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds minced pork or ground chicken-thigh meat
  • 4 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 2 tablespoons chopped cilantro
  • 1 teaspoon granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon five spice powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 30 4” sugar cane or lemongrass skewers
  • 10 ounces Knorr Sakim Red Chili Sauce

Place the minced meat, crushed garlic, cilantro, sugar and soy sauce in a chilled stainless steel bowl and mix gently until well blended. Season with salt and pepper and five-spice powder.

Divide mixture into 30 equal portions and mould each portion into a ball. Insert the desired skewer halfway into each ball and gently press meat around firmly.

Grill over high heat 3-4 minutes or until meat is thoroughly cooked. Serve 3 per portion drizzles with the chili sauce.
