Italian Anise Cookies

  • 3 cups flour
  • 3 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 cup butter
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1-3 eggs
  • 1 tsp each anise and lemon flavoring



Step 1

1. Cream butter and sugar. Add dry ingredients. Add one egg at a time until dough can be formed into a ball
2. Form dough into small balls. Place on ungreased cookie sheet.
3. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. Frost when cool with a mixture of confectioners sugar and milk. Sprinkle with colored non-pareils
