Ingredients

  • 6 slices *Drier's* bacon crisply cooked, crumbled
  • 4 oz. Philadelphia brand cream cheese, softened
  • 3 tbsp. finely chopped water chestnuts
  • 2 tbsp. finely chopped celery
  • 1 tbsp. finely chopped green onion
  • 1/2 tsp. steak sauce
  • 1/8 tsp. garlic powder
  • dash hot pepper sauce
  • 8 -oz. can Pillsbury refrigerated quick crescent dinner rolls
  • 1 egg, beaten

Step 1

Heat oven to 375 degrees F. Grease cookie sheet. In medium bowl, combine bacon, cream cheese, water chestnuts, celery; green onion, steak sauce, garlic powder and hot pepper sauce; blend well. Separate dough into 4 rectangles; firmly press perforations to seal. Press or roll each into 6x3-inch rectangle; cut each in half crosswise to form 8 squares. Spoon about 1 tablespoon filling onto center of each square. Fold dough over to form a triangle; seal edges well. Bring 2 points of folded side together, overlapping slightly; press points together to seal. Secure with tooth picks. If necessary. Place on prepared cookie sheet. Brush with beaten egg. Bake at 375 degrees F. for 12 to 15 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm. Refrigerate leftovers. 8 appetizers.
