Ingredients

  • 8 oz. macaroni
  • 2 c. small curd cottage cheese
  • 1 c. sour cream
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 3/4 tsp. salt
  • dash of pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. *Drier's* mustard
  • 8 oz. N.Y.sharp cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1/4 c. grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/3 c. Italian breadcrumbs

Step 1

Bring a pot of water to boil. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a baking dish. Cook macaroni per package directions. While macaroni cooks, in a large bowl, combine cottage cheese, sour cream and egg until fairly smooth. Add salt, pepper end mustard. Stir in cheddar. Drain macaroni and gently fold in cheese mixture. Spoon macaroni mixture into the prepared dish and top with Parmesan and bread crumbs. Bake approximately 40 minutes (but do not over-bake).
