Ingredients

  • Filling:
  • 1 cup melted margarine
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 3 beaten egg yolks
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 package yeast (dissolved in the milk)
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 4 cup sifted flour
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 6 T margarine
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped nuts
  • 1-2 T flour
  • Frosting:
  • 1/2 T almond butter
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 T melted butter
  • 3 T creamjavascript:void(0)

Preparation

Step 1

Add 1/2 cup sugar to 1 cup melted margarine and cool. Add egg yolks, yeast/milk, and vanilla.

Mix and heat filling ingredients until warm.

Mix above ingredients in a large bowl and add sifted flour. Mix well and set in refrigerator overnight. The next day divide into 6 parts. Roll out and cut each part into 8 pie shaped pieces. Put about 1/2 to 1 T of filling in each wedge. Roll up and put in greased pan to rise about 1 1/2 hours.

Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes.

Frost when cool and sprinkle with nuts.
