  • Chocolate Frosting:
  • 1 box deluxe devil's food cake mix
  • 1 cup of water
  • 1 cup Sorrento Whole Milk Ricotta
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 12 oz. premium chocolate
  • 1 cup sour cream at room temperature

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease bottom and sides of two 9"x2" deep cake pans. Mix all ingredients on low for one minute. Scrape bowl. Mix on medium for two minutes. Divide batter between pans. Bake for 30-35 minutes. Cool for 10 minutes.

Chocolate Frosting:
Melt chocolate over simmering water until smooth. Let cool to room temperature. Whisk sour cream into melted chocolate. Frost and garnish.
