Sour Cream Cookies

Ingredients

• 1 Cup sugar
• 1/2 Cup shortening or margarine, softened
• 1/2 Cup sour cream
• 2 eggs
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• 2 1/4 cups unsifted flour
• 1 teaspoon soda
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In mixing bowl, cream sugar and shortening. Beat in sour cream, eggs and vanilla. Stir in remaining ingredients until mixed.

Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls, 2 inches apart, onto lightly greased cookie sheets. Bake 10-12 min or until golden brown. Add 1 cup raisins and 1 cup chopped walnuts for best flavor.
