Ingredients
- 3 cups self-rising flour
- 5 tbsp sugar
- 1/2 cup shredded cheese
- 1 (12oz) can beer, room temperature
- Chopped pepperoni, sprinkled with 1 tsp flour
- 1 tsp black peppercorns, crushed coarsely
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1 stick butter
- Kosher salt for sprinkling finished loaf

Preparation
Step 1
1. Heat oven to 350F. Grease 9"x5" loaf pan. In large ceramic, glass or stainless steel mixing bowl, mix all ingredients EXCEPT BUTTER! together.
2. Spoon dough into prepared pan and bake for 40-45 mins. Remove from oven carefully and rub loaf with butter stick until all butter has melted into loaf. Return to oven and bake for 12-15 more mins. You may want to tent bread with aluminum foil at this time to prevent burning.
3. Remove bread from oven and sprinkle top with 1 tsp Kosher salt. Let cool on bread rack. This bread is excellent with chilis, soups and stews. Makes tasty sandwiches with meatloaf and sliced sandwich meats.
