Pork Chops and Potatoes, Stove Top
By LadyRev-2
I was looking for a recipe for pork chops, but couldn't find one that appealed to me. I created this one. It is very flexible and can be changed up or down

Ingredients
- 6 pork chops, center cut, boneless
- 6 potatoes
- 1 large onion
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 can cream of chicken soup

Preparation
Step 1
Season pork chops with salt and pepper.
Brown the meat in small amount of oil in skillet over medium heat.
Peel, slice potatoes (not paper thin, but not thick either)
Chop one onion.
After pork chops are browned, arrange evenly in skillet, then layer sliced potatoes and chopped onion over them. Pour one can of mushroom soup, one can of cream of chicken soup. Add a scant one can water or broth (clean out the cans) over all.
Turn heat on low, cook on stovetop for about 1 hour or until potatoes are done. During that time, occasionally take your spatula and run under chops to be sure they are not sticking and that liquid is distributing throughout the pan.
