  • 1/2 cup firm margarine
  • 2 cups Bisguick baking mix
  • 1/2 cup creamed cottage cheese (small curd)
  • 6 frankfurters
  • Margarine or butter,melted

Preparation

Step 1

Heat oven to 375*.
Cut 1/2 cup margarine into baking mix;stir in cottage cheese until dough forms a ball and cleans side of bowl.Turn dough onto cloth-covered board well dusted with bking mix.Knead 30 times.Roll dough into rectangle,15 x 12 inches.Cut into 6 rectangles 6x5 inches.Spread 1 teaspoon mustard and/or catsup to within 1/2 inch of edges of each rectangles if desired,sprinkle each with 1 tablespoon pickle relishand/or 1 tablespoon shredded Cheddar cheese if desired.Place frankfurter lenghtwise down center of each rectanglr.Roll up,using long metal spatula to lift dough.Press edge lightly to seal.Place seam sides down on ungreased cookie sheet.Pinch ends to seal.Brush with melted margarine.
Bake until golden brown,20 to 25 minutes.Serve hot,or refrigerate immediately;serve cold
