Chocolate Rolled Buttercream
I got this recipe from Yummy Arts - It is rolled buttercream similar to fondant but has a buttercream flavor.

Ingredients
- 1 cup high ratio shortening
- 1 cup corn syrup
- 1 tsp. vanilla (can use butter vanilla if you like)
- 1/4 tsp. cocoa powder
- 1/4 tsp. "popcorn" salt
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 6-1/2 to 7-1/2 cups powdered sugar

Mix all ingredients together. It will be a little crumbly at first but will soften up. Knead by hand at the end - it is quite easy to knead.
Test to see if it is firm enough by pulling - this should break apart not stretch. You can add more sugar if you need to. This is repairable by rubbing it with your finger and this is another test.
Roll between pieces of clear vinyl purchased at Wal-Mart of fabric store. Use 12 gauge vinyl. No need to grease or cover with powdered sugar. Cover with vinyl on the top and roll out from center out to try and keep circular. Roll to 1/8" thick. If you want to crimp go to 1/4" max.
Cover cake similar to the way you cover for fondant.
