  • 1 loaf frozen bread dough
  • 1/3 C sugar
  • 2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/3 C natural applesauce with no added sugar
  • brown sugar for sprinkling over top
  • cinnamon for sprinkling over top

Step 1

Thaw dough. Spray mixing bowl with PAM. Place dough in mixing bowl-grease top and sides with non-fat margarine. Cover with towel. Let rise about 1 hour or until twice in bulk. Spray two 8" or 9" round baking pans with PAM. Punch down dough and turn out onto lightly floured surface. Cover with towel. Let rest about 10 minutes. Roll out dough into a 12" square. Spread with applesauce to 1/2" of edges. In a small bowl, combine sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle over applesauce. Roll up dough (like a jelly roll). Moisten edges with water and pinch to seal. With sharp floured knife, cut into 12-1" slices. Sprinkle a little cinnamon & brown sugar on the bottom of each of the pans. Arrange 6 rolls in each pan (onto[ of the brown sugar & cinnamon) Cover with towel & let rise for about 30 minutes or twice in size. Bakein 350-375 degree oven for approximately 20-25 minutes. Invert each pan onto serving plate to cool.
