Ingredients

  • 8 cups Corn Chex®, Rice Chex® or Wheat Chex® cereal (or combination)
  • 2 cups almonds
  • 1/3 cup butter or margarine
  • 1 teaspoon seasoned salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon dried mint leaves, if desired
  • 1 cup chopped dried fruits, currants or raisins
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped crystallized ginger
  • 3 tablespoons honey, if desired

Preparation

Step 1

1. In large microwavable bowl, mix cereals and almonds; set aside.
2. In small microwavable bowl, microwave butter on High about 40 seconds or until melted. Stir in seasonings. Pour over cereal mixture; stir until evenly coated.
3. Microwave uncovered on High 5 to 6 minutes, thoroughly stirring every 2 minutes, until mixture just begins to brown. Stir in dried fruits and ginger. Drizzle with honey. Spread on waxed paper to cool. Store in airtight container.
