Ingredients

  • 2 acorn squash, halved and seeds removed
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 c. tart apples, cored and chopped
  • 3/4 c. cranberrires
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1/4 c. brown sugar, packed
  • 2 Tbsp Butter, melted
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp nutmeg

Preparation

Step 1

Place squash cut-side down in an ungreased 13 x 9 baking pan. Add one inch of hot water to the pan. Bake, uncovered at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Drain water from pan; turn squash over so cut side is up. Sprinkle with salt. Combine remaining ingredients and spoon into squash. Bake, uncovered, for 40-50 minutes longer, or until squash is tender.
Makes 4 serving.
