ham and Potato Chowder

Ingredients
- 1/4 c. butter
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 c. green pepper, chopped
- 1/4 c. red pepper, chopped
- 2 carrots, peeeled and diced
- 4 14 1/2 oz cans chicken broth
- 4 c. redskin potaotes quartered
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
- 1 1/2 tsp dried thyme
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 2/3 c. water
- 2 c. milk
- 11 oz can corn, drained
- 2 c. cooked ham, diced oyster crackers.

Preparation
Step 1
Melt butter in a large pot over medium heat; saute onion, garlic, peppers and carrots until tender. Add broth, potatoes, nutmeg and thyme. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 1 1/2 hours. Bring to a boil. Whisk flour and water together and slowly add to chowder. Boil until thickened. Remove from heat and slowly pour in milk; stir in corn and ham. Serve with oyster crackers
