Ingredients

  • 3 heads cabbage
  • FILLING
  • 2 c cooked rice
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 eggs
  • 4 lbs. hamburger, raw
  • salt & pepper
  • SAUCE
  • 3 cans tomato soup
  • 1 14.5 oz can tomato sauce
  • water (about 2 cans)

Preparation

Step 1

Boil enough water to cover 3 heads of cabbage.

Core cabbage & place in boiling water. As they cook, pick the leaves away from the head & drain.

Mix filling ingredients until combined.

Roll filling into cabbage leaves burrito style.

Place a bed of cabbage leaves on the bottom of a large pot. Layer cabbage rolls.

Pour soup & tomato sauce over rolls.

Add water.

Cook on high heat until boiling.

Reduce heat & simmer until done, about 2 hours.
