Ingredients
- 1 cup Cocoa
- 1 cup Butter or Margarine
- 2 cups boiling Water
- 2 1/2 cups Sugar
- 2 3/4 cups Flour
- 4 large Eggs
- 2 tsps Baking Soda
- 1 1/2 tsps Vanilla
- 1/2 tsp Baking Powder
- 1/2 tsp Salt

Preparation
Step 1
In med. bowl combine Cocoa & Water. Then sift together dry ingred. set aside.
Preheat oven to 350 deg.
Grease and flour 3-9" pans.
In large mixer bowl cream together, butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla until light (about 5 mins.)
At low speed blend in flour mixture with cooled cocoa mixture, ending with flour.
Do not overbeat. Pour into pans. Bake 25 to 30 mins. or cake springs back when touched lightly.
Frost with butter cream frosting. Make a whip cream filling to put between layers.
1 cup heavy cream chilled then whipped with 1/4 cup confectioners sugar & 1 tsp Vanilla.
