Ingredients

2 c. sugar
1 c. Crisco
2 eggs
4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. nutmeg
2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla

Preparation

Step 1

Cream together the first 3 ingredients adding 1 egg at a time. Sift together the next 5 ingredients (dry) Add alternating the next 2 ingredients.

Drop on greased cookie sheet by tsp. Bake at 450 degrees for 8 minutes.

DO NOT OVERBAKE
