- 1 1/4 cups flour
- 3/4 cup cornmeal
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup milk
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1 egg, beaten

Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 400°F.
Spray a round pie plate (regular or deep dish) with cooking spray.
Mix together the flour, cornmeal, sugar, baking powder and salt.
Stir in milk, vegetable oil and egg. Mix just until the dough is moistened.
Pour the batter into the pie plate.
Bake 20-25 minutes, or until golden-brown.
