Ingredients

  • 2 Cups Flour
  • 1/4 Tsp Salt
  • 1/2 Cup butter at room temp
  • 1 Cup Powdered Sugar
  • 1 Egg
  • 1/2 Tsp Peppermint Extract
  • 1/2 Tsp Vanilla
  • 8 ounces White Chocolate, melted with 1 tsp shortening
  • 1/2 cup chopped candy canes

Preparation

Step 1

Stir together flour and salt. Beat butter and sugar in large bowl until smooth and creamy. beat in egg. Add in peppermint and vanilla. On low speed, beat in flour mix. Shape dough into a ball, wrap in plastic and refrigerate for 1 hour.

Heat oven to 375.

Shape dough into 1 inch balls, place on cookie sheets. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until bottoms are slightly brown. Transfer cookies to wire racks to cool completely. When cool, brush with melted white chocolate and dip in candy cane mix. Let harden on wax paper
