Ingredients

  • 1 Package of un-cooked Flaky Dinner Rolls (mine were frozen)
  • 1/2 Stick of Butter (melted)
  • 1 Cup Brown Sugar
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1 tsp Nutmeg
  • 1 Tbsp Vanilla
  • 1/2 Cup Chopped Pecans (optional)
  • 5 Eggs
  • 1 Cup Milk
  • Powdered Sugar (for garnish)

Preparation

Step 1

Melt butter and pour into the bottom of a 9x13 baking dish.
Tear or cut rolls into bite sized pieces and place into the buttered baking dish.
Combine the brown sugar, nutmeg, cinnamon and pecans (if you are using them) and sprinkle 3/4 of this mixture over the bread pieces.
Combine the eggs, milk and vanilla and pour over the bread.
Sprinkle the remaining brown sugar mixture over the entire dish and cover.
Let set in the fridge overnight.
The next morning, bake, covered for 30 minutes at 350, then bake uncovered for an additional 15 minutes.
Let cool for about 15 minutes, dust lightly with powdered sugar, then serve.
Note: You could also add some ground sausage to the mix for a heartier dish.
